Misleading entry offers

Unfortunatelly time and time again exhibitors are contacted by dubious companies wanting to include them in so-called Trade Fair and Exhibitors’ Directories, such as FAIR GUIDE, International Fairs Directory or, to take a more topical example, EXPO-GUIDE. In most cases these are publishing companies who have not been authorised by the Trade Fair Organiser and who change for insertions in various directories after giving the impression that their services are free of charge.

Messe Dortmund GmbH wants to point out that there is no agreement with these publishing companies, even in cases where Messe Dortmund GmbH is explicitly named as organiser and host. The recipients are misled to believe that a co-operation exists with or authorisation has been given by Messe Dortmund GmbH however this is not the case. Their data may easily have been copied from any generally accessible source (such as online or printed exhibitor directories or catalogues). We would like to stress that Messe Dortmund GmbH deals with producing catalogues for its own Trade Fairs and Exhibitions and is in no way connected with Expo-Guide.We did not permit Commercial Online Manuals S de RL de CV or Expo-Guide S. de R.L. de C.V. to use either our name or our trademark in their advertising.
